Muratie Estate White Blend 2011

Tasting notes:
The wine shows a variety of delicately intertwined flavours ranging from honeysuckle to pineapple. It has a good acidic backbone with sufficient sugar to make this a wine with intense aromas that is well balanced. It is best served chilled and accompanied by flavoursome dishes to bring out all this wine has to offer.

All cultivators except the Sauvignon Blanc was barrel fermented but everything was matured in barrel for six months. 30% was first fill barrels and the rest was second and third fill French barrels. No inoculation was done and the wine fermented wild for almost three months. Buttonage was done on a weekly basis till the malo-lactic fermentation was finished after which all the barrels was topped and sealed.
