Hamlin House Premium Spirits and Wines (Pty) ltd has been in the industry since 1990, making us 22 years old. We are known for having conceptualised and produced some of the finest spirits in South Africa. Originally, one of the founding members of this company was responsible for the brand management of J&B Whiskey in South Africa.
After the establishment of J&B, the introduction and subsequent success of Absolute Vodka in SA could be counted as a successful set-up, launching the company into the prestigious Hamlin House One Premium Postill Brandy.
This product was extremely well received in South Africa, earning us the prestigious Loerie Award for design and packaging. Subsequent top placings at the Good Food and Wine Festival in South Africa established this brand at the top of its class.
A year later, Hamlin House OR was introduced as the more affordable version of Hamlin House One. Around 2000, the company created the following: Futura Grapa, Nobel Crest Rooibos Liqueur, Noble Crest Heuningbos Liqueur as well as the famous Hamlin House Cabernet Sauvignon and the Hamlin House Chenin Blanc. Both of these wines were well known for their elegant blue bottle designs.
Post 2000, Hamlin House Premium Spirits and Wines (Pty) ltd began to distribute wines across South Africa and we have, more recently taken up the task of introducing a select menu of South Africa’s finest premium wines to the world at large. The internet has presented us with the means to spread the word about that which we are passionate, namely wines and spirits of South Africa. While we have not yet introduced any of our house brand spirits to our customers, soon the day will come when our in-house spirits and wines will be asked for by all our club members.
The Present: Hamlin House Premium Spirits and Wines (Pty) ltd has matured since 1990, and we are now in a position to subscribe to the way that liqueur will be marketed in the future, namely the World Wide Web. We have forged a supply chain that will enable us to present our wares to Europe and Asia.
